9 Month Monkey!

This month our little girl is mobile, not quite walking, but not far off! She can crawl at speed and walk as long as there is something to grab. She LOVES peekaboo, smiling at everyone, storytime,  Cinderella's mice, Cloudbabies, her doggy, saying Dada randomly, bathtime, playtime, playdates, putting anything in her mouth, ALL food she's given, cuddles, giving kisses and apparently 8.5 hour plane rides with mummy!

Mimi can do some of the things that a nine month old "will probably" be able to do and most of the things that a baby his age "may possibly" and "may even" be able to do including:

• pull up to standing position from sitting
• creep or crawl
• get into sitting position from stomach
• stand holding on to someone or something
• pick up a tiny object with any part of thumb and finger
• play peek-a-boo
• understand "no" but not always obey it
• stand alone momentarily
• walk holding on to furniture
• pick up a tiny object neatly with tips of thumb and forefinger
• respond to a one-step command with gestures like "give that to me," said with hand out 

She doesn't yet:

• object if you try to take a toy away
• say "mama" (I wish!) or "dada" at the person
• "play ball" by rolling a ball back to you
• play patty-cake, clap hands, or wave bye-bye 
• drink from a cup independently
• stand alone well
• say one word other than "mama" or "dada"
